1980s Chinle

Navajo Chinle weaving, circa 1980s, woven with natural wool colors, vegetal dyes, and aniline red dye. The design features a classic horizontal banded layout with alternating fine stripe sections and bold geometric bands, including serrated diamond and stepped motifs. The combination of soft natural browns, grays, golds, and creams with stronger red accents gives the weaving the balanced, rhythmic character associated with Chinle-style weavings.
